On this snowy and record breaking cold day in Denver, Mike is moving to the acute long term hospital! I plan on meeting him there when he arrives and making sure he gets settled in.
Things moved rapidly - I toured the hospital yesterday, and on top of being highly rated in the area, it was just a natural choice for us and the staff was so kind and welcoming. I told them to expect a wide array of amazing queer and neurodivergent humans as visitors, and they were not only delighted at that, but said that describes much of their staff as well. Win!
Mike is back on the ventilator to receive pressure support following another desaturation incident. He will have access to ICU level care in his new, long term hospital where they will work on helping him get off of that ventilator.
The neurologist at his current hospital told me that there is still much uncertainty in his long term care, but our hope is that he becomes a rehab candidate and can one day move to an inpatient rehab hospital.
We're just hoping he wakes up soon. Keep visualizing and manifesting and praying for all of those severed axons to be knitting themselves back together to heal our Mike's beautiful brain.
