Update: Tuesday December 13th

Mike is still in the surgical intensive care unit and unresponsive.

Yesterday I met with the hospital care coordinator, and he gave me all of the information to select an acute long term hospital for Mike to move into after his stay in the ICU. Please send wisdom and peace as I do my best to pick the best place to care for him.

Mike had his tracheostomy done yesterday, and he tolerated the surgery well. His feeding tube as also moved from his mouth to his nose, freeing up his mouth for the first time since his arrival in the ICU. He looked uncomfortable and was sweating a lot, but they said that is normal for a fresh tracheostomy.
