Your Stories: Maggie

This is the only picture I have of me and Mike together, back when I had long hair. Before I became a busy business owner, I often went to events and would see Mike photographing Pride events and drag shows. He gave the best hugs! I adore him.

Mike's photographs have long been on OFM's website and in our past publications. Years ago Mike helped us at our Pride booth and volunteered for bag stuffing, and that's when I got to know him as a person and he became high on my list of favorite people I've ever met!

I always appreciated Mike's honesty and vulnerability when he posted about his mental health struggles. I once told him how much I admire his strength and resiliency, and that his posts surely help other people including me. He's a wonderful human and the world is a better place with him in it.

I know there's some not so good news about the likelihood of recovery, but if anyone can overcome the odds, it's Mike. I'll keep sending healing love and light to him!
